A variety of specialty clinics and outpatient procedures are performed in this area, with nurses working as members of an interdisciplinary care delivery team. >> Back to top Critical Care Nursing Services provide state-of-the-art care to critically ill adults. The specialty areas are:
>> Back to top Emergency Department (ED) Nursing is a specialized practice that serves more than 60,000 patients annually. The ED covers both Strong Memorial Hospital and the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong. As the regional referral center for trauma, the ED manages complex and clinically challenging patients in a fast-paced atmosphere. >> Back to top James P. Wilmot Cancer Center (Oncology) offers an interdisciplinary approach to the management of cancer patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Nurses deliver care in the Surgical Oncology/Urology/Hospice Unit, the Adult Oncology Unit and in three outpatient areas:
>> Back to top Obstetric & Gynecologic (OB/GYN) nurses provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum women. Patients with complex pregnancies and complex births also are treated in this center. All units provide family-centered care, with a focus on patient and family teaching:
