Edward Piotrowski, M.D.

Dr. Edward Piotrowski, originally from Rochester, graduated from Gates-Chili HS in 1983. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo for his B.S. degree in biochemistry where, in 1987, graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went on to complete his M.D. in 1991 and general surgical residency in 1996, from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine. From 1996-2005, he continued on in Buffalo as an attending surgeon in their regional trauma unit practicing trauma, burns, general surgery, and endoscopy. Dr. Piotrowski completed a surgery critical care fellowship (2005-2006) at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Piotrowski has recently joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in Trauma, Burn, Emergency Surgery, and Critical Care Division.
His particular interests include abdominal organ trauma, surgical infectious disease/necrotizing fasciitis, emergency general surgery, surgical nutrition, and acute perioperative critical care.
