Trauma Team
Julius Cheng, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Julius Cheng is an
Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical
Center. Prior to coming to Rochester, Dr. Cheng completed a trauma/surgical
critical-care fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center
of the University of Maryland Medical System, in Baltimore. In
addition, he earned his Master's in Public Health at the Johns
Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health.
Prior to
his training in Baltimore, Dr. Cheng completed a residency in
general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of
New Jersey-New
Jersey Medical School, Newark, N.J. Dr. Cheng earned his medical
degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert
Wood Johnson Medical School, and did his undergraduate work at
Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Cheng is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is
a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma,
The Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Medical
Association. His areas of interest include injury and injury prevention.
