Strong Consult and Transfer Center

The Strong Consult and Transfer Center provides the communication link to guarantee seamless and efficient transfer of trauma and burn patients to the tertiary referral center. Staffed by medical professionals around the clock, the Strong Consult and Transfer Center acts as a resource for physicians wishing to transfer patients to the Strong Burn and Trauma Center. We'll help coordinate emergency transportation for your patients to the Strong Regional Trauma Center.

One Call Does It All

If you're a physician, a single phone call to the Consult and Transfer Center at 1-800-499-9298 will:

1. Arrange acceptance for ALL burn and trauma patients requiring transfer
   
   
2. Arrange timely communication between referring and accepting physician
   
   
3. Assist with transfer arrangements, if needed:
   • This includes arranging air or ground transport, through the Critical Care Transport Service
   • Coordinate transfer arrangements made by others to facilitate rapid transport of the critically ill
     
     
4. On request, the Consult and Transfer Center will arrange a consultation with a Burn or Trauma Specialist for patients in need of specialized care, but who do not require immediate transfer.
