Trauma Team

Susan M. Frederick, R.N., F.N.P.

Ms. Frederick is a Trauma Nurse Practitioner at the Strong Regional Trauma Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She received her Master's degree in the FNP Program at St. John Fisher College. Susan Frederick is a certified RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) and also holds several certifications, including ACLS, ABLS, ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care For Nurses). She is the Director/Coordinator for the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse's Course (ATCN) at the Strong Regional Trauma Center. She is the State and Region II Chair for the Society of Trauma Nurses Association (STN), as well as the Co-Chair for the Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) Group.

Ms. Frederick is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Trauma Society (ATS), Society of Trauma Nurses (STN), and Critical Care Nursing Association (CCNA). Her areas of special interest include caring for trauma and emergency surgery patients, trauma nursing education, program development, and injury prevention initiatives.
