Burn Team
Christopher Lentz, M.D.
Director
of the Strong Regional Burn Center, Dr. Lentz is an Associate Professor
of Surgery and Pediatrics, Division of General Surgery
at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Lentz received
his medical degree
from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan,
and was a resident at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Lentz completed several fellowships in trauma and burn surgery
at such institutions as Shriner's Burns Institute at the University
of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and the University
of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Previously, he was director of the George David Peak Memorial
Burn Center at the University of Missouri Health Science Center.
He gained much of his clinical experience serving in the United
States Air Force Medical Corps, where he worked in various trauma
facilities at such military bases as Lackland and Ft. Sam Houston,
both in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Lentz is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is
a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical
Care Medicine, the American Burn Association, and the International
Society for Burn Injuries. His interested include comprehensive
acute burn care and reconstruction for adults and children, trauma
surgery, emergency general surgery and respiratory failure.
