Ways to Help

Volunteer Your Time

Smiling womanAs a volunteer, you can give a precious gift to adults or children going through one of the toughest times of their lives. That gift is you. Your smile. Your thoughtfulness. Your energy.

Our volunteers sit with patients during treatments, bring snacks or drinks to them, provide pillows and warm blankets, distract them, cheer them up, and offer encouragement to them. They’re rewarded with the satisfaction of knowing they’ve made someone’s life a bit better and maybe even with a renewed appreciation for their own.

Other volunteer tasks might include being a librarian at either of the Cancer Center libraries, helping to escort patients to their appointments, assisting patient’s family members, or helping with special events.
