For Patients and Care Partners

The diagnosis of cancer brings with it a challenging time for the patient, caregiver, family members and friends. Often it helps to be with others who truly know what you are experiencing. The following are some of the support groups available in the Rochester and Monroe County area, brief descriptions of each, as well as contact information.

Look Good...Feel Better American Cancer Society

585-288-1950 A free service which teaches cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Provided by certified/trained cosmetologists.
Lymphedema Support Group American Cancer Society

800-227-4844 A free program offering support to individuals and those affected by lymphedema and for those at risk of developing this condition. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month (except in Dec, Jan and Feb).
Man to Man American Cancer Society

585-624-5799 The Men's Oncology Program is for adult men who have dealt with all types of cancer. It's a weekend program developed around a theme that will be carried out through activities presented by the Camp Good Days staff and other professionals within the community.

Pancreatic Cancer Support Group
