Patient having a CAT scanCAT Scan (CT Scan)

CAT (computed axial tomography) is an imaging technique that produces detailed, cross-sectional pictures ("slices") of internal organs and body parts. Similar to an x-ray, it’s an easy, painless test that normally requires no special preparation (though, in some cases, patients need an injection of a dye to produce better images).
