The following online resources are available to provide education and support to teens and young adults, their families and health care providers about a wide variety of issues pertinent to this age group.

  • Rochester Eating Disorder Network - This site provides information for the family and friends of adolescents dealing with eating disorders.

  • Young Women's Health - Developed by the Center for Young Women's Health at Children's Hospital of Boston, this web site offers health information.

  • www.gottaquit.com - Information and self-help tools for people who want to quit smoking provided by Monroe County and the University of Rochester.

  • www.healthyweightnetwork.com - This site provides information on dieting issues, such as healthy weight, nutrition, truth about weight loss programs and diets, and obesity. Also promotes the Healthy at Any Size approach to weight loss and management.

  • www.nutrition.gov - This government web site provides extensive information about food, nutrition and health management.

  • Bright Futures - This is a national initiative dedicated to promoting health through a trusting relationship between the child, family and health care provider.

  • Dads and Daughters - DAD's inspires fathers to actively and deeply engage in the lives of their daughters and galvanizes fathers and others to transform the pervasive cultural images that can devalue girls and women.
