Neonatology
Regional Perinatal Center (RPC)
Strong Memorial Hospital is the designated Regional Perinatal Center for New York State Finger Lakes Region.
The Center's mission is to provide perinatal care to women and their infants who are determined to be at high risk. As a Regional Perinatal Center, Strong Memorial Hospital offers specialized perinatal treatment for high risk pregnancies and has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for preterm or sick infants.
The New York State Finger Lakes Region is comprised of nine counties. Seventeen community hospitals refer mothers and infants to the Regional Perinatal Center. In addition to the nine counties in the Finger Lakes Region, the GCHAS Neonatal Intensive Care Unit receives infant transports from five other counties in Upstate New York.
