Tilt Table
Testing
Fainting (syncope) can have many causes, only some of which
are heart related. Tilt table testing tries to discover these causes.
It shows how your child's heart rate and blood pressure react to
changes in
position.
Your child will lie on a table that is tilted at various angles,
while continuous ECG and blood pressure readings are taken. Usually
an IV (intravenous) line will be placed in your child's arm and
medications may be administered through the IV.
