Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Center

Erin Lagoe, MS, CGC

Compassion. Patients and families appreciate Erin Lagoe, MS, CGC, for the individualized attention she gives them and for her understanding of both their physical and emotional needs. Her ability to connect with them as partners in care is especially important when discussing the future genetic implications of a craniofacial diagnosis. She is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and has served as an active member of that organization for two years. We are very fortunate to have Ms. Lagoe as a participant on our team.

Ms. Lagoe completed her Bachelor of Science at North Carolina State University in 1996, followed by a Master's Degree in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. In addition to her clinical work with the Cleft and Craniofacial Anomalies Center, Ms. Lagoe works in the Division of Pediatric Genetics at Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong. There she provides genetic counseling to families with children with a wide range of issues including but not limited to various birth defects, mental retardation, autism, and/or developmental delays. She also works with families affected by cystic fibrosis, either by a positive newborn screen or a recent diagnosis of the condition. Additionally, she is a board member of the regional chapter of the National Fragile X Foundation. Ms. Lagoe has also provided preconceptional and prenatal genetic counseling for a broad range of indications.
