Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Center
Merideth Rao, M.S, CCC/SLP
Merideth Rao received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at State University College at Buffalo and her Master's of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Nazareth College in Rochester. She currently holds her NYS licensure in Speech Pathology and Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Her current practice at Strong Memorial Hospital includes working with both children and adults. Patient care focuses include swallowing, motor speech disorders, resonance and articulation disorders, head and neck cancer recovery, and rehabilitation following acquired neurologic injury.
Meredith has presented numerous workshops and seminars on swallowing and feeding disorders in infants, children, and adults, as well as workshops relating to normal speech development and with regards to acquired brain injury. Merideth is currently an adjunct professor at Nazareth College of Rochester in the graduate studies department.
