Services and Programs

Pediatric Dermatologyteen girl close up

University Dermatology Associates treats both adult and pediatric patients with skin, nail, and hair conditions, including acne, warts, dermatitis and skin cancers. Pediatric dermatologists and other dermatology experts address both common and rare disorders, and seek to make your child as comfortable as possible during his/her visit.

Our Team

Our practice consists of eight physicians who are Certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Since we are affiliated with the University and Strong Memorial Hospital, teaching is an integral part of our program. Patients are also seen by a dermatology resident, who is a licensed physician receiving specialized training in dermatology. Often medical students will accompany your child's doctor during the examination.

Conditions We Treat

We treat a wide variety of skin, nail and hair disorders and conditions. Some of the more common conditions we see include:

  • Moles
  • Contact Dermatitis
  • Photosensitivity disorders
  • Skin infections

Tests and Procedures

In order to diagnose, and then treat, your child' skin condition, your child's dermatologist may perform one or more of the following tests and procedures:

  • Excisions
  • Microscopic exam of skin scrapings
  • Skin culture: bacterial, viral or fungal
  • Physical exam
