Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong provides treatment options for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer, blood disorders, bone marrow failure and congenital immune deficiencies.

Our mission is to treat and cure children with cancer and blood diseases by understanding their special needs and providing them with comprehensive, compassionate care from diagnosis through recovery. Our facility is designed to provide these services with maximum convenience. Patients can see their doctor for an office visit, have tests performed and receive treatment (including chemotherapy and blood transfusions) all in the same location. We also strive to improve prevention and treatment of childhood cancers as well as management of long-term complications of therapy through clinical and laboratory research.

Our team includes skilled physicians and advanced practice nurses who are dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families. In addition to these professionals, children and families at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong have the benefit of a full range of support services and staff to guide them through many of the social, emotional and financial issues that come with illness.

Affiliations

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong works in conjunction with the James P.
