Experience and Special Interests

Dr. Farmer is former Chief of Gastroenterology and Chair of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic and past President, American College of Gastroenterology. He is an appointed member of the National Commission on Digestive Diseases and is considered an international expert in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis and related conditions) with more than 200 journal articles and primary clinical research articles published. He was awarded Mastership in both the American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology due to his recognition throughout the medical community. His special interests are IBD-Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis and related conditions.
