Making a Donation HIV Treatment Fund

• The Strong Memorial Hospital (SMH) HIV Treatment Fund (HTF) was developed to assist with medical expenses of SMH AIDS Center patients. The AIDS Center is a treatment facility designated by the AIDS Institute of the New York State Department of Health.

• SMH AIDS Center patients may request funds for health care related issues, psychosocial/ therapeutic needs or quality of life expenses through their AIDS Center social worker.

• The social worker will document financial need and will assure that all other resources have been explored and utilized.

• Requests are submitted to the HTF Committee which consists of AIDS Center medical providers, social workers, and administrative and clerical staff. Committee decisions will be communicated to appropriate parties.

• The fund will not be used to cover any administrative or overhead costs.

• HTF is supported entirely by donations and fundraising events in the community. If you are interested in donating to HTF please call 585-275-0526.
