Dr. Józefowicz's research focuses on medical education and evaluation techniques.

Academic Activity

Dr. Józefowicz's primary academic activities focus on the education of medical students and house officers, using innovative techniques including problem-based learning, case-based teaching, computerized instruction, and clinical-basic science integration. He has organized and directed Neuroscience courses in the Double Helix Curriculum, including:

  • Mind, Brain, Behavior I
  • Mind, Brain, Behavior II (combined Neurology and Psychiatry clerkships)
  • Neurology residency program director
He is a national consultant for implementing effective student evaluation methods, including performance-based evaluations and multiple-choice item writing.
