Major Clinical and Investigative Interests
This multidisciplinary fellowship provides intensive training in diagnosis and management of patients with sleep disorders. Primary faculty members have appointments in the departments of neurology and pediatrics, as well as the division of pulmonology, but there is access to an extended network of teaching faculty within the departments of otolaryngology, plastic surgery, psychiatry, and dentistry.
Fellow applicants with primary training in neurology, family medicine, internal medicine (with or without pulmonology/critical care training), otolaryngology, pediatrics, and psychiatry are encouraged to apply.
This fellowship provides strong foundation in all aspects of adult and pediatric clinical sleep medicine. There is a heavy emphasis on the interpretation of polysomnographic tests. A research project is also expected of the fellow. The fellowship meets eligibility requirements to sit for the sub-specialty board examination in sleep medicine.
