Movement & Inherited Neurological Disorders Unit

The Movement and Inherited Neurological Disorders Unit focuses on clinical research including both interventional and observational studies. The group currently has NIH funded projects studying:

  • Neuroprotective therapies in Parkinson's disease
  • Treatments for depression in Parkinson's disease
  • Evolution of illness in individuals at risk for Huntington's disease
  • Evolution of illness in individuals with Parkinson's disease
  • Evolution of illness in individuals with Mutlisystem Atrophy

Other research projects in Tourette's syndrome, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, Dystonia and tremor are conducted with support from other federal agencies, private foundations and industry.
