Ronald Plotnik, M.D.

Dr. Plotnik is a specialist in the cornea and external diseases of the eye. He is dedicated to treatment of patients with corneal disorders, contact lens complications, and cataracts. He offers anterior segment reconstruction, corneal transplant surgery, and consultative ophthalmology.
Dr. Plotnik joined the faculty at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 1991 as an assistant professor and also serves as the associate medical director of the Rochester Eye and Human Parts Bank.
He earned highest distinctions at the University of Michigan,
where he received his Bachelor of Science and medical degree.
After completing an ophthalmology residency and serving as chief
resident at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he received further
training through a cornea and external disease fellowship at the
University of California-Davis.

Dr. Plotnik is actively affiliated with the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Eye Bank Association of America, and the Rochester Ophthalmic Society.
Dr. Plotnik sees patients at our Strong Memorial Hosptial offices.
