Our Team
Dr. Scofield received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1991. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester in 1995. Prior to pursuing a career as a physician, Dr. Scofield was a special education teacher for infants and preschool children. His dedication to this field continues with his special interest in children with developmental disabilities and attention-deficit disorder.
Dr. Scofield is the Medical Director of the Culver Medical Group and is an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is a member of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
“Open communication is the key to establishing relationships with my patients” states Dr. Scofield. He considers himself a good listener and believes a building a partnership with his patients in achieving good health produces the best long-term results. He enjoys his spare time with his wife and daughter. He loves sports including golf and tennis and is also a music fan.
Dr. Robbins was born and raised in Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Hanover College and his medical degree from Indiana University with honors. He completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at the University of Rochester Medical School in 1997.
Dr. Robbins is the Program Director of the Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Rochester. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is a member of American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Robbins enjoys the “people” part of medicine and the long-term relationships he forms with his patients. In his spare time he enjoys camping, hiking, homebrewing, playing classical guitar, exercising, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Caiola received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed his residency at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts and a fellowship in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
Dr. Caiola is a Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is a member of American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Caiola works to optimize the health of his patients by forming interactive partnerships for good health. He has a special interest in resident education and mentorship. Outside of work, Dr. Caiola enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Bingemann grew up in New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Rutgers University in 1995 and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in 1999. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 2003.He has worked in Rockland County, NY and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
He is a Senior Instructor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is especially interested in musculoskeletal conditions
He moved to the Rochester area in 2006 and enjoys recreational sports, cooking, baking and spending time with his wife and two children.
Karen Nead, M.D,
Dr. Nead received her medical degree from the University of Rochester Medical School. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and a fellowship in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. She worked in Connecticut for three years, before returning to Rochester to work at Culver Medical Group.
She is an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Nead enjoys caring for multiple generations of family members. Her primary medical interests include preventive health care, pediatric obesity, nutrition education, and complementary medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, biking and spending time with her family
Dr. Fortuna received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1998 and his medical degree with honors from Dartmouth Medical School in 2002.
Dr. Fortuna's special interests include General Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Medical Education and Health Services Research.
Outside of work, he enjoys sailing, outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

In addition to the attending doctors above who have their own group of patients we have several attending doctors who are here on a part-time schedule to supervise resident doctors. They have practices in other locations and do not schedule patients in the Culver Medical Group.
