Evoking behavior change is one of the most essential yet difficult jobs for primary care physicians and their staff, especially in the areas of nutrition, weight loss, fitness and smoking cessation. Bad habits or lack of good habits in these areas are a contributing factor to over half of all deaths in our community.

Our role in changing behaviors requires the ability to motivate without discouraging a patient, empowering your patient while maintaining a supportive role and knowing the needs, both physically and emotionally, of each of your patients.
