To the Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians’ Assistants and Staff of the Primary Care Network:
On behalf of the Project Believe Primary Care Task Force and Patient Education Sub-Committee, I am pleased to present you with the Believe in Better Health Toolkit.
The Toolkit is the result of many months of dedicated effort by your physician and nurse practitioner colleagues to provide our patients with the latest resources in the advancement of preventive health.
As we face the ongoing challenge of changing the traditional practice of medicine to a more prevention-based approach, it is essential that we continue to foster an environment that reduces risk in the primary care setting, while improving practice efficiency and provider and patient satisfaction. If we are successful, we must provide value by saving time, reducing stress, and improving the productivity of our patient care endeavors.
As the Toolkit is added to and refined over the coming years, I hope it will become an integral part of your practice experience. Please take the time to review through the tools for physicians in this volume. Each section contains detailed information on how to best use what has been created.
Your comments and suggestions on how we can improve the Toolkit are essential. Please feel free to contact me or any of the members of the Task Force or Education Sub-Committee at any time. It is our goal to continually improve on our work and for this to be successful, we need your help!
