Our Physicians

Basya Veyberman-Herbert, M.D.

Dr. Herbert is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Family Health Center at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA.

Dr. Herbert's goal is to provide comprehensive and holistic health care. She enjoys establishing relationships with her patients and knowing them in the context of their family, community, and culture. She speaks Russian fluently.

Dr. Herbert is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. She is a member of the faculty of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

A long-time Rochester resident, Dr. Herbert enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and extended family. Her personal pursuits include cooking, skiing, and participating in Mothers & More, a group dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education, and advocacy. In addition, Dr. Herbert is active on the board of the Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Losses.

 

Gregory J. Ryan, M.D.

Dr. Ryan has been with the Webster Family Practice since July 1994 and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He earned his medical degree in 1986 from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine in Buffalo, NY, and completed his Residency in Family Practice at Buffalo General Hospital in 1989.

Prior to coming to Rochester, Dr. Ryan worked as the Chief Medical Officer of the Kowak Medical Center in Kowak, Tanzania, operating a 40-bed mission hospital that saw 2000 patients a year. While there, Dr. Ryan published a manual for physician's assistants.

Dr. Weisbrod is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has been with the Highland Hospital Department of Family Medicine since 1997. He has been with Webster Family Medicine since 2000. Before coming to Rochester, Dr. Weisbrod worked for the Cigna Healthplan of Arizona for thirteen years, where he learned an approach to patient-care that combines effective use of team members, communication abilities and coordinated care.

Dr. Wiesbrod received his M.D. from the University of Toronto in 1981, and in 1983, he completed Family Practice Residency from Dalhousie University Medicine Program.

He is the father of two teenage sons, and in his free time enjoys the care and maintenance of marine and freshwater aquariums, reading, woodworking and gardening.
