Rehabilitation

When Your Body Needs Rehabilitation

Link up to a better wheelchair...

Wheelchairs tend to age right along with the rest of us. It may be time to have your wheelchair evaluated. Check out our Wheelchair and Seating clinic.

For Strong Health caregivers, rehabilitation is more than just fixing where you hurt. For us, rehabilitation includes making you stronger, helping you improve your muscle tone, and showing you how to prevent injuries.

Inpatient Care

At Strong Memorial Hospital, a rehabilitation team works with seniors in a state-of-the-art unit. The team can help people learn new skills to replace a lost function.

Short-Term Rehabilitatio in a Nursing Home

Strong Health treats an estimated 1,000 seniors in nursing homes. We also offer specialized physical therapy and occupational therapy at both of our skilled nursing facilities: The Living Center at the Highlands and The Highlands at Brighton. An Adult Day Care facility, Meadowbook, can also deliver rehabilitation services to seniors attending for the day.

Short-Term Rehabilitation at Monroe Community Hospital

Designed for people who have disabling conditions because of illness or injury, the rehabilitation program at Monroe Community Hospital is one of the region's most successful. We excel at caring for the elderly who want to maintain their independence. Call 585-760-6022 to learn more about the program and to request a brochure.

Home Care

For a broad range of rehabilitation services delivered right in your home, we recommend the Visiting Nurse Service (VNS)

Outpatient Care

Medical rehabilitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, prosthetic training, hand therapy, wheelchair and seating clinics are just a few of the services offered at:

Outpatient Balance Training

Are you loosing your balance? Having more difficulty going up and down stairs? Don’t despair. Strong Health’s Balance Training Program was designed to provide individual assessments for things like posture, strength, and coordination. We'll design a treatment plan and monitor your improvement.

Aquatic Therapy

We offer aquatic therapy in the pool at the Metro Center YMCA. Aquatic therapy is a good treatment option for rehabilitation patients who suffer from sports injuries, back problems, knee or ankle injuries, or stroke.
