The Strong Sleep Disorders Center was established in 2000 with
a mission to excel in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of
sleep disorders. It is an academic, multidisciplinary center,
and clinicians and health care professionals from a wide range
of medical specialties staff the center. The largest sleep disorders
facility in Western New York, physicians and staff from the SSDC
diagnose and treat thousands of adult and pediatric patients
with obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and other
sleep-related conditions every year.
In addition to its clinical mission, the Strong Sleep Disorders
Center has active educational and research programs. Trainees
from all medical specialties learn from nationally-recognized
experts in sleep medicine. In addition, enrollment in clinical
trials is ongoing.
