A Message From the Chief

The Department of Surgery at Highland Hospital has a long history of providing comprehensive and caring surgical care. It includes the divisions of:

The department includes an equal mix of private practicing surgeons as well as full time university surgeons. Many offices are on on-site and we all share a common goal of providing easy access and compassionate care to patients in this community.

Our minimally invasive surgical program is second to none in the Rochester area. In fact, our Bariatric Surgery program for weight loss is one of the busiest in New York State. We also offer minimally invasive surgery for such common problems as gastroesophageal reflux and hernias to more complicated issues involving the colon and spleen.

Our Breast Care Center is now part of the Woman's Health Pavillon which has a full-time breast surgeon and radiologist. The Breast Care Center has ultrasound and sterotactic needle biopsy capabilities. These procedures as well as consultation for other woman's issues, can all be done in one location.
