How the Procedure is Performed
This is a traditional form or “open surgery” browlift procedure. First, the surgeon makes incisions across the top of the scalp, usually above the ears and within the hairline. The exact location of the incisions is decided in pre-surgical planning. After the incisions are made, the surgeon separates the forehead skin from the tissue and muscle below and can then alter or remove parts of the muscles that create wrinkles and frown lines, or remove excess tissue and skin. The eyebrows can also be lifted during the procedure.
When the procedure is complete, your surgeon closes the incisions with small stitches and covers them with bandages.
