Surgical Procedures
As with all of our surgical specialties, here we remain focused
on reducing the trauma of each procedure. Vascular surgery in
particular is quickly evolving as we develop and refine new minimally-traumatic
techniques. At this point, we are happy to say that nearly all
types of vascular surgery offer at least one minimally-traumatic
option. A good example is angioplasty or angioplasty with stent
placement for vascular occlusion of the arteries in the legs.
And our researchers are busy designing and studying new procedures
everyday.
