Immunizations

Immunizations are very important to protect your baby from serious diseases. Some babies will get a shot of the Hepatitis B vaccine in the hospital, but most will start getting their shots at thier first baby check-up. The U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Family Physicians have a recommended childhood immunization schedule. Check with your baby's doctor on what schedule he/she will follow, and be sure to make and keep all of your baby's well-baby doctor visits.
