Speech Therapy
Our speech pathologists can help restore function and improve your life in a variety of ways. We evaluate and treat individuals with speech/language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Our speech-language pathologists can evaluate a patient's impairment and develop a treatment plan. We're here to help you get started on the road to recovery.
We offer inpatient speech therapy for individuals with:
- Speech/language impairment as a result of stroke, dementia, and various neurological disorders
- Cognitive-linguistic deficits following head injury
- Post-operative counseling for laryngectomized patients
- Voice disorders resulting from disease or misuse of the voice
- Speech disorders
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
- Developmental delays
We also offer outpatient comprehensive assessment of swallowing:
- Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)

Our Staff
- Molly Clune DeWeese, M.S., CCC/SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Molly received her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Geneseo and her Master's degree from Syracuse University. She serves as Supervisor of Speech Pathology at Highland Hospital.
Molly is certified to perform FEES and serves as a trainer for other speech pathologists in the Rochester area. Her special areas of interest include adult dysphagia (oropharyngeal and esophageal), brain injury, and trach/ventilator-dependent patients.
- Agata T. Mevs, M.S., CCC/SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Agata received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from SUNY Geneseo. Her special areas of interest include adult dysphagia, aphasia, and traumatic brain injury. Agata is certified to perform FEES and performs Modified Barium Swallow studies for inpatients and outpatients.
