Coronary Revascularization

Coronary revascularization is the process of restoring the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the heart. In other words: bringing blood to the heart. To restore blood flow, surgery is necessary to bypass blockages or obstructions in the coronary arteries. Once we’ve removed the obstacle, blood circulates to the heart again.

The most common type of revascularization procedure is Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, sometimes called CABG (“cabbage”). We perform CABG techniques using on-pump and off-pump procedures.
