Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Center

At Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong, we are proud to offer the region’s only center dedicated to the needs and treatment of children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other craniofacial anomalies. Our center consists of an interdisciplinary team of professionals, dedicated to offering a full range of services to the patient and family dealing with these types of birth defects. It is our mission to provide optimal care through a team-oriented approach and to stimulate and support research that will improve the quality of life for our patients. We strive to change faces, and, ultimately, to change lives.

If your child has a cleft lip or cleft palate, or other craniofacial condition, we can help. The first step is to contact our office and schedule an initial evaluation. This initial evaluation will help us to discover your child’s needs; help you with specific issues, such as feeding; and to begin to chart a course for the future.

The optimal time for this appointment is within your child’s first few weeks of life. Your child and family will be seen at frequent intervals through any treatment, and then on an annual or semi-annual basis thereafter.
