Our Team

University Urology Associates

In 1928, Dr. Winfield W. Scott began his 30-year tenure as the second Chief of Urology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Today, Dr. Edward M. Messing is the Winfield W. Scott Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology. Like the man for whom his professorship is named, Dr. Messing strongly believes in the direct connection between research and improvements in patient care.

That belief is shared by all the physicians in the Urology Department. Within the department, you’ll find a specialist for every adult and pediatric urological disorder, disease or condition. They’re specialists because they not only have expert knowledge of the latest research and treatment advances, they’ve usually participated in that research. But the goal of all their research, and their first priority, is to help their patients.
