Bone Marrow Transplant Program
The Strong Health Bone Marrow Transplant Program is the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes region. Our mission is to enhance the care of patients requiring stem cell transplantation for treatment of malignant, aplastic, or immunodeficiency diseases.
Over 900 transplants have been performed since the unit opened in 1990. We offer an inpatient/outpatient area (IPOP), which allows patients to stay home longer during the transplant process. The IPOP allows for a higher consistency of care throughout the transplant process, enhancing patient and family satisfaction. IPOP operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
