Our Editorial Mission

Strong Health exists to provide men with trustworthy, clinically accurate health information that empowers them to make informed decisions about their well-being. We publish in-depth content on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), peptide therapy, sexual health, dietary supplements, and broader men's wellness topics.

Our editorial mission is guided by a simple principle: every claim we make must be supported by credible scientific evidence. We do not publish content driven by trends, marketing interests, or anecdotal reports alone. Instead, we prioritize accuracy, transparency, and clinical relevance in everything we produce.

As a health and wellness platform operating in a Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) category, we recognize that our content can directly influence medical decisions. This responsibility shapes every aspect of our editorial process, from topic selection through final publication.

Content Creation Process

Every article published on Strong Health follows a rigorous, multi-step editorial workflow designed to ensure clinical accuracy and readability. All content goes through at least two rounds of review before it reaches our readers.

Step 1: Topic Research & Planning

Our editorial team identifies topics based on clinical relevance, emerging research, and the questions our readers ask most frequently. We prioritize subjects where evidence-based guidance can meaningfully improve patient outcomes or correct widespread misinformation.

Step 2: Medical Literature Review

Before drafting begins, our writers conduct a thorough review of the current medical literature. This includes searching PubMed, Cochrane Library, and relevant clinical practice guidelines to establish the evidence base for each topic.

Step 3: Drafting by Qualified Writers

Articles are drafted by writers with demonstrated expertise in health and science communication. Writers are required to cite primary sources for all medical claims and clearly distinguish between established evidence and areas of ongoing research.

Step 4: Physician Review

Every piece of health content undergoes a detailed review by a licensed physician on our medical team. The reviewing physician verifies clinical accuracy, checks dosage information, confirms that recommendations align with current clinical guidelines, and flags any claims that require additional substantiation.

Step 5: Fact-Checking & Editorial Review

Following physician review, our editorial team conducts a secondary review focused on source verification, readability, and consistency. Each citation is independently confirmed, and the article is checked for clarity and accessibility without sacrificing medical precision.

Step 6: Publication & Ongoing Monitoring

Once an article passes both review stages, it is published with a clear publication date and the name of the medical reviewer. Published content is monitored for accuracy on an ongoing basis and updated as new evidence becomes available.

Medical Review Standards

Medical review is the cornerstone of our editorial integrity. All health and wellness content published on Strong Health is reviewed and approved by a licensed physician before publication. We do not publish medical content that has not been physician-reviewed.

Our medical review team includes board-certified physicians with 15 or more years of clinical experience in endocrinology, urology, internal medicine, and men's health. Each reviewer brings direct patient care experience that informs their evaluation of our content.

Medical reviewers are responsible for:

  • Verifying the clinical accuracy of all medical claims and data
  • Confirming that dosage ranges, protocols, and treatment descriptions reflect current standards of care
  • Ensuring content does not overstate the efficacy of any therapy or minimize known risks and side effects
  • Evaluating whether the cited evidence appropriately supports the conclusions presented
  • Adding clinical context based on their firsthand patient care experience

Each article displays the name and credentials of the physician who reviewed it. You can view our medical reviewer profiles to learn more about their qualifications. For example, see the profile of Dr. Angel Rivera, one of our lead medical reviewers.

Author Qualifications

Strong Health maintains strict qualification standards for everyone who contributes to our content. We distinguish between two primary roles: medical reviewers and health content writers.

Medical Reviewer Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (endocrinology, urology, internal medicine, or a related field)
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct clinical experience
  • No active disciplinary actions or sanctions from any medical board

Health Content Writer Requirements

  • Demonstrated background in health journalism, medical writing, or science communication
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting peer-reviewed clinical research, including understanding of study design, statistical significance, and limitations
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical practice guidelines relevant to men's health
  • Commitment to accurate source attribution and transparent reporting

All contributors, whether physicians or writers, are required to disclose any financial relationships, consulting arrangements, or potential conflicts of interest that could influence their work.

Source & Citation Standards

Credibility begins with sourcing. Strong Health requires that all medical claims be supported by high-quality, verifiable evidence. We maintain strict standards for the types of sources we consider acceptable.

Preferred Source Categories

  • Peer-reviewed journals: PubMed-indexed publications, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), The Lancet, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, and other respected medical journals
  • Government and institutional sources: National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO)
  • Clinical practice guidelines: Guidelines published by the American Urological Association (AUA), the Endocrine Society, and other recognized professional medical organizations
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses: Cochrane Reviews and other rigorous evidence syntheses that represent the highest level of available evidence

Citation Requirements

  • Every medical article must include a minimum of three citations from acceptable sources
  • Claims about treatment efficacy, safety, or side effects must be directly supported by at least one peer-reviewed study or clinical guideline
  • When studies have conflicting results, we present the range of evidence rather than cherry-picking outcomes that support a predetermined conclusion
  • We do not rely on anecdotal evidence, testimonials, or non-peer-reviewed sources as the sole basis for medical claims
  • All citations link directly to the original source material whenever possible so readers can verify our claims independently

Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Strong Health believes that editorial integrity and commercial relationships must remain strictly separated. We are committed to full transparency about how we fund our operations and how financial relationships may relate to the content we publish.

Product Reviews & Recommendations

When we review supplements, health products, or wellness services, our evaluations are conducted independently by our editorial and medical teams. Product reviews are based on ingredient analysis, available clinical evidence, manufacturing quality, and value. No manufacturer, brand, or affiliate partner has editorial input into our reviews or the ability to alter our findings before publication.

Affiliate Relationships

Some articles on Strong Health contain affiliate links. When you purchase a product through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We clearly disclose the presence of affiliate links within each article that contains them.

Importantly, affiliate relationships do not influence:

  • Which products we choose to review or recommend
  • The ratings, conclusions, or clinical assessments in our content
  • Whether we highlight potential risks, side effects, or drawbacks of a product
  • The selection or placement of products within comparison articles

Advertising & Sponsored Content

Any sponsored content or paid partnerships are clearly labeled as such and identified separately from our independent editorial content. Paid content is subject to the same medical review standards as all other content on our site, but is always transparently marked so readers can distinguish between editorial and commercial content.

Content Updates & Corrections

Medical knowledge evolves, and our content must evolve with it. Strong Health is committed to keeping our published articles current, accurate, and aligned with the latest clinical evidence.

Scheduled Reviews

All published health content is reviewed on at least an annual basis. During these reviews, our editorial and medical teams assess whether new research, updated clinical guidelines, or regulatory changes warrant revisions. Articles that are updated display a visible "Last Updated" date so readers always know when the information was most recently verified.

Evidence-Triggered Updates

In addition to scheduled reviews, we update content proactively when significant new evidence emerges. This includes the publication of major clinical trials, FDA safety communications, updates to clinical practice guidelines, or the identification of new safety concerns related to therapies we cover.

Correction Policy

We take factual accuracy seriously and have a clear process for addressing errors:

  • Readers, clinicians, and researchers can report potential errors by emailing our editorial team
  • All reported errors are investigated by our editorial and medical review teams within 48 hours of receipt
  • If an error is confirmed, we correct the content promptly and add a visible correction notice at the top of the article describing the nature of the change
  • For significant corrections that materially affect the medical guidance in an article, we conduct a full re-review by a physician
  • A log of all corrections is maintained internally for editorial accountability
