Dr. Richard Pomerantz currently serves as a Professor of Medicine, Clinical Chief of the Cardiology Unit, and Director of the Fellowship Training Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center, as well as seeing patients in the Catheterization Laboratory.

Dr. Pomerantz received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease.

In the Catheterization Lab, Dr. Pomerantz performs and teaches diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, and has a special interest in stenting and angioplasty.
