Conquering Cancer Together

When You Come to us, Know This: You Are Not Alone

You will have a personal care team, along with many additional resources to help you with your physical and emotional health at each stage of your treatment and recovery.

Just as You Are Unique, Your Experience With Cancer is Equally Distinct

At the Cancer Center, individualized treatment planning and a team approach to care gives you the best chance for a long and satisfying life. While one doctor will be in charge of your care, you will have as many consulting specialists and subspecialists as needed during the course of your treatment.

It’s Your Life—Seize it

There are over 200 different types of cancer, and each type has particular treatments that have been proven to produce the best outcomes. You and your team will work together to formulate the treatment that is best for you.

You’ll have many questions. Don’t hesitate to ask. Your doctor will provide you with as much information as you request. Just make your wishes known.

And to help you live your life as fully and naturally as possible, you will receive most of your treatment as an outpatient. Throughout your care, you’ll come to the Center for treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and stem cell or marrow transplants, but you’ll be able to spend most of your time at home where you can be most comfortable.

Our Credentials

The Center is a major resource for comprehensive cancer careresearch, education, and community outreach in central New York State.

We provide a wide range of state-of-the-art treatment options, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, blood and bone marrow transplantation, or combinations of these and other therapies. Our patients have access to the highest quality treatment, often before it’s widely available elsewhere.

Patients who are eligible can volunteer to participate in clinical trials. Clinical trials are studies that investigate ways to prevent, detect and/or treat cancer, as well as ways to lessen the impact of the disease through improved quality of life during treatment.
