Wheelchair & Seating Clinic

Our clinic provides an interactive evaluation between an experienced physical therapist, wheelchair vendor, and the consumer to provide the individual with the most appropriate power or manual wheelchair and seating system.

The clinic provides the opportunity to receive a physical therapist's expertise regarding proper positioning to maximize functional abilities, prevent contractures and pressure sores, as well as assistance with management of pain.

The consumer's current wheelchair will be evaluated, and recommendations will be made regarding possible modifications, repairs, and/or additions. The consumer's goals, seating needs, advances in technology, and funding from the insurance carrier will be taken into account in the decision-making process.

Physical Therapy

Have you experienced a change in posture, body type, or weight?
Are you now unable to propel your wheelchair without assistance?
Have you had recent surgery or medical complications resulting in a lower level of mobility?
Do you have any of the following conditions: spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, arthritis, muscular dystrophy, amputation, neurological disorder, or severe cardiac condition?
Is your wheelchair greater than five years old and in need of repair?
